Singer, GORE-TEX Brand Ambassador and huge fan of the outdoors, Sigrid grew up in the Norwegian town of Ålesund. “My favorite place in the world”, she calls it.
In Sigrid's #TestedForLife Tryout she designed and tested her very own Norrøna waterproof-breathable GORE-TEX jacket. With the help of the team at Norrøna, the GORE-TEX brand ambassador Sigrid created her own anorak, a waterproof, hooded, pull-over jacket using GORE-TEX Pro laminates. The design is inspired by the iconic vintage Norrøna jacket paired with modern design features.
Once the design was finalized and went through the fitting and production processes, Sigrid tested the prototype jacket in the GORE-TEX lab.

WHAT SIGRID TESTED
It was so exciting to create a GORE-TEX jacket from scratch with input from my family, my art director and the Norrøna team. I got to decide on the colors, the different patches and then got to test its waterproof durability in the Gore lab. I’m so thankful to the GORE-TEX and Norrøna teams for being offered such a great opportunity.
Why does Sigrid's jacket have so much to do with her roots and where she's from? Why did it have to be an anorak? What role did her parents play, and what does the color red mean to her? We'll be letting you know all that and more in our interview with Sigrid and Charlie.
